The courage to change

Put wellbeing at the heart of your strategy and let success flow

Both 2020 and 2021 have have been the years of reckoning for companies who dismissed wellbeing as superfluous to success. Change is now inevitable. This is the moment to create a culture that puts resilience, adaptability and health at the heart of your business.

Soft can be hard

Too many companies fail to seize the moment for change. This is where I come in. By bringing together two disparate areas of expertise — wellbeing and change management — I can guide and equip you for the many and often competing demands of meaningful change. My clients really value my role in bringing a focused, informed, empathetic and energising presence to every facet of the journey, spanning policy writing, facilitation, roadmapping, implementation, course provision, leadership training and comms.

To see how I can support your ambition for a healthier business, email to arrange a zoom or phone call.

Dinah's ability to work with and listen to all levels of the organisation ensured that we could really target and measure improvements.

Wellbeing is not a luxury

Supporting resilience and wellbeing, both at home and in the office, is not a benefit reserved for trendy fintechs but essential life-support for business continuity and the bottom line.

Psychologists define resilience as the process of adapting well in the face of adversity, trauma, tragedy, threats or significant sources of stress. However, if a person lacks the social, mental, emotional, physical and spiritual knowledge, skills and tools to be resilient this will lead to sickness, depression and unhealthy coping mechanisms to deal with life's challenges.

In the office it’s often easier to see when a colleague is under too much stress, but as we move towards more home working, this is harder to do. So it is even more important that companies have a wellbeing policy and approach that empowers their people with the knowledge, tools and support to ensure the health of both the individual and the company.

By bringing our best selves to work, everybody wins.

We were able to demonstrate tangible, operational and behavioural/cultural improvements within months.

Transitioning to a new normal

Successful culture change comes by embracing all aspects of a person beyond the 'employee'.

After twenty years of working in change management across the globe I’ve learnt many lessons and observed many mistakes. The most important one being that if a company does not put employee wellbeing - physical, mental and emotional -  at the heart of change, there will be an inevitable negative impact. Every time.

What do I mean by this?

Simply, if a person feels their basic needs are being threatened they will resist and stop listening. In 'survivor' mode, we are stressed and our ability to remain positive, listen and adapt is significantly reduced. So it’s essential to develop a successful culture change strategy that minimises the threat and puts people at the heart of change.

Integrating wellness with work

It makes sense to put wellbeing at the heart of a strategy: healthy people, healthy business. We all know the statistics on lost work days and the cost to businesses each year — but have you thought about the potential negative impact to your customers and company culture?

We provide an integrated and tailored solution, which brings together all the essential elements to create, implement and sustain a healthier, more vibrant and positive workplace. Typically this can include:

  • Wellbeing policy templates

  • Change management strategy and implementation

  • Communication and training

  • Coaching leaders to be their greatest change ambassador

  • Wellbeing courses

  • Measurements of success

Now is the time for 'healthy' to be part of your tagline:

Healthy people, healthy business, healthy bottom line.
